Merlins Hill Centre Access Statement
At The Merlin’s Hill Centre we are working hard to ensure that ALL our visitors, no matter what their age or abilities, have an enjoyable time here.
The Merlin’s Hill Centre is signposted by brown tourist signs from the A40 at Abergwili.
Car Parking is available on a concreted yard (slightly sloping) adjacent to the The Merlin’s Hill Centre.
Assistance/ service dogs are welcome.
There is a disabled toilet.
Staff are trained in disability awareness and are happy to assist when required.
A temporary ramp is available to gain entry into Museum.
There are steps to the Heritage Centre and the Milking Viewing Gallery. However, there is an alternative route through the yard gate and onto a ramped access from the road.
All areas are well-lit, with good colour contrast to floor,walls and doorways.
Display information is produced in large, clear print. All information is available in large print/audiotape if required.
Access to the top of the hill is challenging in places, due to sometimes uneven, steep ground.
There is seating in the Heritage Centre, Musuem and Picnic area.
Tactile displays and animals are available for visitors to touch. We can arrange that animals and displays can be brought to the visitor.
Guided tours can be arranged based on their area of interest.
